In the crowded marketplace of salad dressings and meal preparations, Salads For Life. founded by Karyn Kennedy stands out as a beacon for health-conscious shoppers. As the owner, Karyn's journey began in 2010 when she recognized the need for cleaner, preservative-free salad dressings.

Despite initial skepticism, she persevered, creating a line of products that not only redefine the market but also contribute to a healthier lifestyle. Salads For Life is not just a business; it's a commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and communities.

Ahead of Their Time

Karyn's journey is a testament to resilience and passion. From the early days of experimenting with ingredients to facing initial disbelief, she evolved the business during the pandemic. Recognizing the need for healthier meal options, she launched a meal preparation company, receiving trademark approval within six months, an uncommon feat during those challenging times.

A pivotal moment occurred at a San Diego conference where Karyn's dedication caught the attention of the VP from Takis, propelling her products to higher levels and eventually landing in Woodward Corner Market. This leap of faith transformed her business, emphasizing a collective purpose beyond individual success.

We want to make sure everything we do coincides with what we have been called to as a company.

Beyond Dressings

Salads For Life began with their signature product, the 'Vinaigrette Life Salad Dressing and Marinade.' With only four carefully chosen ingredients: Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Agave Syrup, and Cilantro, reflecting Karyn's commitment to simplicity and health. The journey to discover a sweetener led to the inclusion of agave, ensuring a diabetic-friendly option without compromising flavor.

Expanding beyond dressings, Salads For Life creates a variety of salads, entrees, and wraps such as their fan-favorite 'Chicken Breast Collard Green Leaf Life Wrap,' providing wholesome alternatives for mindful eaters. They are also in the process of developing snackable salad toppings that coincide with their mission of healthy eating.

Nourishing Lives with Wholesome Choices

Salads For Life's commitment to health extends beyond its products to the community. The company prioritizes sourcing halal meat from a local butcher and emphasizes thoughtful ingredient selection to guarantee customer satisfaction. While prioritizing these ingredients, their goal is to give customers products that will satisfy their hunger with the right wholesome ingredients.

Karyn envisions partnerships with local schools, promoting nutritious lunches, and even fostering the idea of school gardens. Her hope is to one day teach the youth that what we consume is important and that it will have an effect on not only our bodies but also our minds.

Salads For Life is not just a business but a community-driven force for positive change. That change could not have been possible without the ongoing support from friends like Bridget Espinosa, Owner of Puente Cultural, and organizations like the Royal Oak Business Women’s Network, Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce, Oakland Thrive, and Woodward Corner Market.

We walk in a unified position.
