The dream of Hummus Goodness did not start in Michigan. It did not even start in the USA. The roots of Hummus Goodness began in August of 2017 in Shanghai, China, where I started crafting fresh hummus every week for the other expats in the city. After moving to Michigan, I started Hummus Goodness to provide hummus lovers with a fresh, clean option.
I know what you’re thinking - another hummus company? But I found that store bought hummus choices were lacking and I wanted to create something fresh, like the hummus I grew up eating.
The most rewarding thing about starting this company, is knowing that every week we are creating the best, cleanest, and freshest hummus we can offer.
Hummus Goodness is currently available in 5 flavor options - Original, Balsamic, Taco, Spicy & Beet. I get inspiration from all sorts of places. The Beet Hummus featured in this recipe was inspired by a salad from my favorite restaurant in Shanghai. Roasted beets with goat cheese, pistachios, honey... it was divine! One bite and I knew it would be a great hummus flavor. Creating new flavors is always so fun!
The key to any recipe is the quality of the ingredients, and our ingredients are what make Hummus Goodness so unique! We use responsibly sourced NON-GMO beans (yep we can tell you exactly where our beans are grown!), Michigan grown beets, fresh lemon and lime juice and real garlic cloves!
For this recipe, we added a few simple touches to spruce up a simple snack. We hope you enjoy how easy, colorful, and delicious this recipe is.
