Ginger Basil Highball: Whiskey Cocktail Recipe

MADE BY CHELSEA VAN ASSCHE, MARKET ALCOHOL LEAD

In honor of World Whiskey Day this year, Woodward Corner Market's alcohol lead Chelsea Van Assche has graced us with a whiskey highball cocktail with a twist. Chelsea decided to feature a Japanese Whiskey called Suntory Whisky (which you can find on our shelves) because Japanese whisky is traditionally used in highball cocktail recipes. Suntory Whisky Toki® was made to mix with soda water as soda brings out the crisp, fresh notes of the Japanese whiskey for a refreshing cocktail that pairs well with various dishes. We love this Ginger Basil Highball because it is simple to make, perfect for novice cocktail creators, and a crowdpleaser on Spring and Summer patio days. Find all of the ingredients at the market, and stay tuned for more cocktail recipes coming soon.
