MADE BY CHELSEA VAN ASSCHE, MARKET ALCOHOL LEAD
Today is June 3rd, and we're celebrating National Cider Day! If you live in the Metro Detroit area, most people have come across Blake's Farms in Armada, Michigan. If you've gone to pick pumpkin or apples, stopped in for some doughnuts in the fall, or sat in their taproom listening to live music on the weekend, you probably plan to be back because of the unforgettable experience.
An extension of the farms is Blake's Hard Cider Co. Most Michiganders know Blake's to be the maker of some of the most flavorful authentic craft hard ciders in Michigan, many of which we carry at the market. From Blake's backyard since 1946, they've made the good stuff with apples and shared it across the nation.
Our market's alcohol lead Chelsea Van Assche has put together a delicious and refreshing Rainbow Seeker Margarita recipe in honor of celebrating National Cider Day. Chelsea selected Blake's Rainbow Seeker Hard Cider, a part of Blake's Kinder Cider line that impacts more than just your tastebuds. Crafted with love, Blake's Rainbow Seeker cider has partnered with the LGBT National Hotline in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the LGBT community. This recipe drop is perfect for celebrating PRIDE month in June and all year round. Check out the recipe below, and happy celebrations!
